Today, October 1, 2025, the 12th General Chapter of the Daughters of St. Paul has elected
Sr Mari Lucia Kim superior general of the Institute for the six-year term 2025-2031.
Sr Mari Lucia was born on November 1, 1965 in Mokpo, Korea. She has been a Daughter of St. Paul since January 25, 1995. She has carried out various apostolic assignments and was general councilor from 2013-2019. Currently she serves as provincial superior of Korea.
Into her hands, the Lord entrusts our communities, the people to whom we are sent as apostles of Jesus Christ, and all those who will encounter God through the fruitfulness of the Pauline charism. The capitular assembly places in her hands the desire for a profound renewal, for a “newness” to explore and follow, for a fraternity to rediscover, for a gift to revive.
We send Sr Mari Lucia Kim our congratulations and our prayers, in the certainty that the Lord will send Mother Thecla to be close to her and inspire her in the service of government.
