This cold and fresh day began with a liturgical celebration animated by our sisters from Mexico and Central Europe. Not only were we awakened to a fresh and cold morning, but to the good news of a “new born” among us. Sr Helena Cho, one of our translators, was celebrating her birthday today! While we celebrated the gift of a new life, we also remembered one of our sisters from the Indian Province, Sr Patricia, who was born into eternity yesterday.
As Sr Matilda, provincial superior of India shared, “Sr Patricia’s life was marked by silence, dedication, and generosity; until the very end, she radiated kindness, goodness, and a deep love for the Pauline call and mission. She leaves behind not only the fruits of her labour, but also the quiet witness of a life wholly given to God and to others.” Though saddened by her departure, we feel blessed to have one more soul among the members of the Pauline Family interceding for us and for the Chapter! Thank you, Sr Patricia!
In the spirit of synodality, the work of the Chapter continues to be intense and fruitful, and we are making steady progress toward the culmination of our time together! Happily, we are not lacking in anything that makes our going smooth: your prayers, the delicious meals prepared by our cooks for our physical strength, the staff who provide a clean and welcoming environment to make us feel more comfortable, the quieting sound of nature that helps in our reflection, and the list could go on…We cannot be grateful enough!
We truly feel your prayers for us and that you are accompanying us in every way! Please continue doing so!
God bless you abundantly!
