After having been spiritually nourished at the table of the Word and the Eucharist, we continued our missionary voyage around the world where we are present, learning of many moving and courageous initiatives of our sisters. The assembly was especially touched by the dedication and boldness of sisters facing significant challenges in our life and mission.
We felt ourselves convinced ever more of the responsibility to be a voice for those whose suffering is passed over in silence in so many parts of the world. Through the means of communication at our disposal, we desire to help bring awareness to the suffering of so many in our world at the hands of others through war, famine, poverty, violence, and other forms of injustice.
The indifference and inertia in the face of so much suffering, like that of the people of Gaza, deeply challenge us. For this reason, we paused in silence, remembering all the victims, and we asked the Lord to help us discern what concrete actions we can take, through our mission, to counter the logic of death and to respond to humanity’s longing for peace, fraternity, and life.
Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue this beautiful work of the chapter!
